Aston Education is looking for a proactive Finance Officer to join this Ofsted Good primary school in Brent to start in January.
The school is a culturally diverse and inclusive school and there is a happy and harmonious atmosphere.
The job will initially be offered on a temporary basis with a possibility for a permanent job for the right candidate.
As a Finance Officer, you’ll work closely with the School Business Manager to support the school’s finance functions. You have good experience of using FMS and SIMS and providing accurate accounts to the leadership team within an education setting, preferably in a primary school.
Responsibilities include:
To support the School Business Manager to ensure the statutory accounts for the school are completed to an agreed timetable
To provide efficient and effective financial and administrative support to the school
To issue purchase orders
To process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner, including liaison with internal and external suppliers
To record details of payroll payments to staff, pension providers and HMRC, and reconcile to the monthly payroll journal
To maintain accurate financial records; ensuring invoices, payments and receipts are processed on the day they are received
To assist with the month end processes
To assist in the production and completion of reports
ParentPay cashless catering system administration
Financial admin tasks
