Head of Year

Aston Education is working with an 11-18 secondary school in Waltham Forest, East London, looking for a full-time permanent Head of Year (ideally with teaching specialism in: Art, Business Studies, Drama or Maths) to the existing Student Care team.

You have experience of leadership of a department or key stage at a secondary school, and you are a qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS.

The successful candidate will lead and manage a year group, support, and challenge students to continually improve in all aspects of daily school life, and work as part of a dedicated and successful existing Student Care team.  

Experience working with students, families, school staff and outside professionals is an advantage; however, the most important attributes are tenacity, a positive approach, and a belief that every child at the school has the ability to succeed. 

The school is a thriving community school, the staff team is supportive, and their curriculum offer is broad.

The school is part of a medium sized academy trust who are committed to supporting staff to achieve swift career progression offering a range of opportunities and experiences across the trust schools.
